Chairman and Chief Science Officer
Michael Warner, MHA, Ph.D., is a proven leader and expert in developing healthcare IT solutions that embed management concepts for performance improvement. As co-founder and Chief Science Officer at AtStaff, Warner’s responsibilities include strategies, design, and technology for all new AtStaff innovations.
Prior to AtStaff, he was co-founder and president of Atwork Corporation, the premier provider of staff management and patient scheduling software, with more than 2,000 system installations throughout the world. He served as president of Atwork from its incorporation in 1983 to 1995, through its rapid growth and until the company was sold to Medaphis Corporation, now a part of McKesson.
Prior to establishing Atwork, Warner spent 15 years on the faculties of the University of Michigan and Duke University, where he taught and researched applications of mathematical and predictive modeling on computers for health care management.
Warner received a BA in mathematics and an MHA from Duke University, and a Ph.D. in applied mathematics and computers from Tulane University.
