ClairVia® Demand Manager
ClairVia Demand Manager measures, tracks, and predicts patient-specific care demands, enabling healthcare organizations to match the right staffing workload needed to achieve targeted clinical results for each patient.
At the core of the software is its patient pattern and flow management technology. ClairVia Demand Manager determines each patient's real-time and projected demand for staffing care by tracking each patient along a progress pattern, which outlines the optimal progression of care for the best clinical outcomes.
By focusing on the individual patient, and in meeting individual outcome progress goals for each patient, ClairVia Demand Manager delivers capabilities and achieves results never previously attained through traditional staffing models.
The software continuously monitors and compares each patient's actual status against his or her established, outcomes-based pattern. Staffing workload requirements are automatically adjusted as patients' conditions change and events occur, ensuring that the right caregiver resources are deployed at each point of a patient's stay.
ClairVia Demand Manager's event-capture technology, via real-time HL7 interface connectivity, allows the product to "time stamp" patient admissions, discharges and transfers (from Patient Registration/ADT systems), as well as changes in acuity level and patient condition (from EMR or patient assessments).
ClairVia Demand Manager not only tracks all admitted patients' demand requirements in real time, but also projects their future workload needs until the point of discharge, whether that occurs during the next shift or up to seven days in advance. Furthermore, the software predicts the upcoming staffing requirements of scheduled and unscheduled admissions.
By ensuring that each patient receives the right, clinically appropriate amount and type of care, ClairVia Demand Manager holds the potential to significantly:
- Improve healthcare quality, safety and patient flow management
- Increase predictability, cost control and staff satisfaction
- Provide a foundation for outcomes-driven patient acuity
- Deliver the means for ongoing process improvement
- Align clinicians and finance on a common ground
